TEHRAN -- The Iranian renowned musician Babak Bayat said that after 1991 the theme of the films in Iran had a downswing although there were good works during this time.

He added that some of the producers and directors are always seeking the cheap themes and use digital music more, so the number of the directors who are not deceived by the digital music is not much nowadays.

Pointing to the triteness of the music he said that when you are not forced to think while listening to music, there is surely a kind of triteness present, for example the dance music is considered a kind of music which lacks depth and so does not require contemplation.

Bayat who is the composer of the music of the film Velayate Eshq (Sanctity of Love) said that composing the music of the film caused spiritual changes in his life which he would never change with anything else in the world as his friends and family are witness to this fact.

"The music is depicting the pain of the people who live together in a society. It is important to prepare the field for such activities", he continued.

"I am proud of all my works" he said in a review of his works in the pre and post revolution era, and added that working with the veterans and prominent ones in the field of music or cinema effects the behavior of the newcomers a lot.

He hoped that with further participation of the youth in the field there would be a better future for the Iranian music.
